LATERITE
Laterite is a type of soil characterized by its rich red color and high concentration of iron and aluminum oxides. It forms through the weathering process of rocks and minerals over long periods under hot and humid conditions. The chemical composition of laterite primarily consists of iron oxides (Fe2O3, FeO(OH)), aluminum oxides (Al2O3), silica (SiO2), and various other elements.
